Midtown Light was made during 2023 from a balcony in one of Davisville Village’s 1970s apartment towers. Each work is three panoramas from a single day, stacked and printed as one piece. Some panoramas are minutes apart. Others, hours.
The exhibition shows seven works from September to December of that year, arranged chronologically along the corridor and spaced by the days between them.
The neighbourhood below is being remade: new towers are replacing the tennis court and low-rise buildings. These photographs do not document that change directly. They record the view just before it began.
