Before the towers arrive, this was the view.
Midtown Light was made from one balcony in Davisville Village during 2023. Each work is an Interval: three panoramas from a single day, stacked and printed as one piece. Some panoramas are minutes apart. Others, hours.
The exhibition shows seven Intervals from September to December of that year, arranged chronologically along the corridor.
The neighbourhood below is about to be remade: new towers will replace the tennis court and low-rise buildings. These photographs do not document that change directly. They record the view just before it began.
